Wednesday, October 14, 2009 ·

Today on visiting Google, one can see Google logo changed to that of bar code. Google is actually celebrating the anniversary of bar code which got patented today in 1952. This special date coincides with announcement of joint winners of Nobel Prize who contributed in inventing Charge-coupled devices making them ready to read bar codes.

The charge coupled devices is a silicon based device which converts light energy into electronic charge making this technology achieve a higher level.

Some of the applications like digital cameras, endoscopy, desktop videoconferencing, fax machines are all due to the development of this device.
Celebrating such a great event is Google habit making people aware about such great events.
